The Auburn College soccer group started its season Saturday by honoring the 13 American service members killed within the Kabul airport assaults.
The varsity reserved 13 seats for the sport and embellished them with army hats and shows of those that died to assist rescue Americans and Afghan allies.

“These women and men sacrificed a lot for our nation,” stated Dan Heck, Auburn’s assistant athletic director of selling. “We thought that is the least that we might do to sacrifice and honor these women and men who did a lot for our nation.”
Heck alluded to the “Auburn Creed,” which he stated conjures up a notion of patriotism within the college’s college students and followers.
“In that creed, it talks about our nation and freedom and why that is necessary,” he informed Fox Information. “And our college students — it is one thing they attempt for day-after-day.”
“We name it the Auburn household, and the Auburn household actually has at all times come collectively to assist our troops and our army,” he continued.
Auburn defeated the College of Akron 60-10 in entrance of a full-capacity crowd at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
