Haley marketing campaign slams DeSantis for being ‘echo’ of Trump forward of marketing campaign launch

EXCLUSIVE — 2024 presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s marketing campaign is slamming Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) as an “echo” of former President Donald Trump forward of his rumored marketing campaign launch.

In a brand new spot titled “A selection, not an echo,” Haley’s workforce painted her because the true different to Trump whereas highlighting DeSantis’s previous imitations of the previous president’s rhetoric. DeSantis is imagined to make a 2024 announcement on Twitter afterward Wednesday.

DeSantis has since described the advert as a satirical ploy supposed to spice up his profile within the heated contest. Trump’s allies have equally jabbed at DeSantis over his previous tributes to the previous president.

Haley’s video additionally flagged DeSantis describing getting “additional entangled in a territorial dispute between Ukraine and Russia” as not being a “important nationwide” curiosity, which triggered a fierce backlash. DeSantis later clarified that he views Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “warfare prison” and backs Ukraine.

The marketing campaign video follows a memo that described and rebutted DeSantis’s elevator pitch to voters as “Trump with out the drama.” It accused DeSantis of “actually copying Trump” and derided him as “Trump with out the allure.” The memo equally highlighted DeSantis’s remarks on Ukraine and bashed him for his ongoing battle with Disney.

Haley, the previous U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and governor of South Carolina, debuted her marketing campaign in February.

DeSantis has constantly polled because the second-place 2024 GOP hopeful after Trump, with Haley in fourth place, per the newest RealClearPolitics polling mixture.
