Norway will help coaching applications for Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets, Norwegian Protection Minister Bjoern Arild Gram stated on Wednesday.
American President Joe Biden on Friday supported the coaching applications of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 plane, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy gave his phrase to Biden that the plane is not going to be used to assault Russian territory.
“The federal government helps this initiative and is contemplating how Norway, along with allies and companions, can contribute,” stated Gram.
The Norwegian authorities has not determined whether or not Norway will give any of its F-16 plane to Ukraine, the minister stated in a separate assertion to public broadcaster NRK.
Russia, whose forces invaded Ukraine 15 months in the past, stated any switch of US F-16 plane to Ukraine could be pointless and would solely elevate questions on NATO’s position within the struggle.
